Thanks for the very helpful ideas on my no- start situation on the rebuilt 140 motor. I replaced the starter's solenoid, and replaced the jumper cables on the test stand with real battery cables,- WOW;- It jumped to life immediately, and runs well.  This engine has been "under construction" for 6 years now, and should work very well in the truck. everyones suggestions are much appreciated.
