[FC] FC "Buckets"

About 30 years ago I delivered a pair of full-width FC front seats to an
uphosterer and he cut them down into narrow seats. The purpose at the time
was to create a passenger seat in a '63 Rampside that my wife could sit in
for longer than half-an-hour (she had a serious back problem and needed
firmer support). I'm not sure that at the time I even knew that there were
factory narrow seats. Today, I would just cut the frames & padding down
myself and use Clark's covers. One would need to add tube or flatbar to the
lower insides for reasonable (not thin-edge) appearance.

I have a project Corvan that has the narrow seats, and they are remarkably
similar to the full-width seat, just narrow. Even the hinge and stop
functions look identical.

I'm not sure why anyone needs hinged seatbacks in a van. I gave away the
passenger 'flip-up' hinges (yikes!) long ago, I will eventually use stock
seats tracks on the right seat.

In a camper, I would want a "squeeze-through" space between the front seats.
I measure the narrow seats at ~25" across the base, vs. ~58" for a
full-width seat. My seats are not mounted, so I have to estimate the 8" gap
(duh). I would want a wider gap.

FC seats, wide or narrow, are pretty basic and not very comfortable. For
comfort or non-original function I would look for some comfy substitutes.
