I would have answered your questions had it not been for your last sentance.
I want to tell you and everyone that reads these messages, that comments
like that are grossly offensive and has no useful purpose except to continue
the most disgraceful practice of Anti Semitism.

Subject: [FC] 1961 Greenbrier new paint job

I'm almost finished the body work. For the past three weeks we've repaired a
35 year old bondo/paint job. Luckily I found a neighbor who has 30 years of
body work under his belt. He also purchased a 1962 700 SW. He used metal
from old kitchen stoves to fashion patch panels. He also used a fiborous
fiberglass that is head and shoulders over Bondo. It's surprising what you
find under old body work. Both side doors had been patched in 1972. He
fabricated new rocker panels for both sides, as well as repairing all four
front and side doors. He was surprised that the rust was mostly found where
water was trapped. The frame area is rust free for the most part. I was told
it came from a part of rural Penn. where rock salt isn't used, just sand.
I hope to post some work in progress photos soon!
Here's my question. I want to repaint the van in WHITE. I had heard that
Maaco does a decent job for the money. I've never dealt with them. Any
suggestions? I'm trying to economize.
BTW Is the private sales of collector cars plunging along with prices. I'm
hearing from people I tried to purchase cars from as far back as 2005 (which
means they never sold the collector car) offering me up to 60% off the price
they were asking then. There has been a steep increase in stolen collector
cars throughout the country. Many insurance companies are photo documenting
cars even if you only have minimum insurance/liability. The last time this
happened here was in 1982. There aren't ANY buyers and most now are
lowballers. Can anyone say Jewish lightning!
