Bob now replies:

Answer:  The a certain extent, they are not being separated.  One of 
the ideas being tried is incorporating the Concours cars into the Car 
Display; that is, the end-of-week Car Display will include the cars 
that participated in the Concours cars as part of a special display 
class, just not eligible for the Car Display awards.

The idea is, to gather ALL the Corvairs in one spot at the end of the 
week for a nice big open-to-the-public show.

How will this work?  We don't know, this is the first time it is 
being tried.  I could quibble with some of the details, but I applaud 
the effort to try to freshen the convention schedule.
