It seems, that even with a rather good deal of experience fabbing custom 
lines, that a tool does not have to be cheap to do a less than 
satisfactory job.  Hard to say exactly when I bought my Snap-On double 
flare set, but it was probably the late seventies --  and out of every 
half dozen flares (brake and fuel), seems like I had at least one leaker 
that needed "readjusting".

The Rigid tool is a bit different in that the yoke for the "press" 
clamps to the tubing holding bar.  I have been very pleased with the 
results I've had using this tool compared to the "cheap" Snap-On set.

Good tubing benders are a bit of a desirable help, too.  A set of those 
can get pretty spendy though, so I borrow them from a good buddy when 
needed.

Just remember to get the nuts on before you bend/ flare ...    ;-)
