After work tonight I backed Rampy out of the garage ( with her new coil and condenser and tight connections) and let her idle for long enough to get a nice steady slow "Hot" idle. Wifey ( the long - suffering Miss Nancy) gave me her cell phone and promised to stay close by the telephone "just in case". I made 3 circuits around the block with no sign of trouble.I drove out of our subdivision to check progress. After everything seemed OK, I drove down the long winding hill into the Ohio river valley, same as I did last night. Once down on Kellogg rd, I went 1 mile east, then I turned north to 5 mile road and followed that uphill all the way to the county park. I drove the steep uphill park drive with no trouble all the while watching my oil temp as it slowly climbed off the peg below 100 degrees. On the return journey it hit the 150 degree mark and i held my breath and stabbed the gas. She dug right in and accellerated strongly. So far so goodI drove west on Kellogg and then entered 4 mile road to climb out of the 300 foot - deep Ohio river valley that almost defeated me Wednesday. As I drove I kept the gearshift in 3rd and listened as the load grew and the oil temp rose to 180.No problems. she dug right in and bolted right up the bluff never missing a beat. The heat - stumble problem ahs dissapeared with the replacement of the coil and, of course, nice snug wire connections. Thanks for all the help and support!Tim
