[FC] Fresh Air...Please

I am putting the interior back in my '61 GB following a fresh paint job.
The fresh air cables (both left and right) need to be repaired. The left
side cable is broken and the right side sleeve is kinked. I'd like to
repair rather than replace with used - who knows how long the used cable
will last?
Anyone care to share their solution or experience?
