Daniel is correct.
#1 & #3 are not on any of my Greenbriers either (2 '61s, a 62 & a 63)... the front hole is indeed the antenna hole (make sure you plug that hole,  or else in cold weather you'll have a wee bit of a draft)... and the replacement rubber lid-holder for the battery is available from Lon and Cal... and maybe a few others.

Aha! so there's a way to hold the battery door open.  I'll need to 
look for that rubber latch.  Holes 1 and 3 seem to be very cleanly 
made (despite their appearance in the pictures) not like something 
drilled by hand; but maybe...  I was passing the antenna cable 
through another hole like #2 but in the upper right hand side of the 
removable panel; so the purpose of at least one of these holes remains unclear.
