It has been my experience that all 3 of my 'Vairs ( 2 monzas and the current rampy) ride low in back and high in the front. In the Monzas I solved most of the problem by moving the spare, and jack to the trunk, removing the "engine room" mounting bracket and replacing the rear shocks with gas pressurized units.Rampy is a different animal and I am observing how she "goes down the road". For instance I did notice last weekend when I had about 500 lbs of mulch and limestone in her that rode very differently. Much less "bouncyness" much more stable at highway speed. The positive camber replaced by a neutral - camber suspension position and "stance" Re: alternator conversion. Now that I can drive Rampy at night, I hope to get more use from her as transportation. I want to now send out some kudos the way of my favorite East coast parts vendor. I replaced the alternator on the recommendation of my mechanic after less than 200 miles on the "old" unit. When I returned the "defective" unit my vendor tested it and found it was OK, but still nonetheless credited me back most what I paid minus the shipping, of course. That is excellent service and appreciated very much. I can see why folks use them! Tim Werner '61 Rampy 140 4 spd
