The wipers on my FC had quit working.
I played around and found the switch was not grounded properly.

Re=tightened the switch and worked fine.

Re windshield wipers I had a little time yesterday to work on my inoperative
windshield wipers. I reconnected the dome light, ( a simple slip - together
connection that came apart) The wipers are still a mystery. After tracing
the melted wire from the wiper back tohte splice behind the instrument panel
and replacing that piece of wire, I took my 12volt battery charger inside
the cab and temporarily wired a fuse inline and connected the two leads to
the two posts on the wiper motor. It began normal operation back and forth.
I unclipped the wires and the blades stopped in mid - swing. I reconnected
the normal power source from the trucks' wiring and the motor started up,
but then stopped as soon as it came to it's "park" position. I performed
this twice with the same result. My take - away from this experiment is that
the motor is fine and the wiring repair was successful, but perhaps the
switch is burnt out?? Back to the wiring diagram.Tim '61 Rampy
