Actually if I remember right it was Lee Iacocca that had the idea for a mini 
van while at Ford in the 60s.  Ole Lido kept the idea with him all those 
years until he headed Chrysler.  Odd that in that almost 20 year span no one 
else came up with their own mini van.

Of course the Corvan-type were out before Lee's idea(maybe that's where he 
got it) and of course Volkswagen had them all beat in the 50s.

I was just thinking the other day that this hadn't been brought up in a 
while.

Nope :-)

Reading the description of the Greenbrier is very similar to Dodge's copy on 
the intro of their minivan.  Of course the VW microbus has many of the same 
characteristics.

What Dodge really invented was the term, as far as I can tell.
