Fred,
JR is correct, thought the FC also had an indicator in the dash panel.  This might mean a manual trans instrument cluster for yours.  Others will chime in.
The sequence is correct, gotta count them or make yourself a paper tag for now.

Welcome, and Happy Motoring!

Paul

Hi Fred, and welcome.

Actually, it is FC for Forward Control because the controls are ahead of the
front wheels.

I'm not sure what the shift lever looks like on a PG (Power Gluide) since
mine is a 4 speed and I never paid enough attention to the automatics, but I
think your description is correct.  You need to know that there is NO Park
gear - only R-N-D-L in that order from top to bottom.  I know that the cars
have a guide along the side of the lever with light behind it for when the
headlights are on.  You might be missing a piece of the dash.

Don't forget to use the parking (or E) brake when leaving the vehicle.

Later, JR
