Should also add that the cable is a different length, watch out for it when jacking the FC as you can smash the outer liner and cause the cable to bind.  Mine was that way when I got it, could see where the jack and been on the cable.

Fred welcome to the list.

The FC PG shifter is the same (or very close) to the early model (EM) cars.  As a matter of fact I used some parts off a EM car to repair my FC rampside PG shifter.

Hi Fred, and welcome.

Actually, it is FC for Forward Control because the controls are ahead of the 
front wheels.

I'm not sure what the shift lever looks like on a PG (Power Gluide) since 
mine is a 4 speed and I never paid enough attention to the automatics, but I 
think your description is correct.  You need to know that there is NO Park 
gear - only R-N-D-L in that order from top to bottom.  I know that the cars 
have a guide along the side of the lever with light behind it for when the 
headlights are on.  You might be missing a piece of the dash.

Don't forget to use the parking (or E) brake when leaving the vehicle.
