Hi All-
As the new guy in the club, and having attended only one meeting, I'm a
little embarrassed to say that I won't be able to make tomorrow's. Sunday
is my wife's birthday and we're going away for the weekend. I know RSVPs
are not customary, but I wanted to check in to let people know why I was
already missing. I'll definitely make the June meeting.
I haven't gotten anywhere with my frozen engine. In fact, I've made matters
a little worse. I was working on the crankshaft bolt and ended up rounding
it pretty good. I guess I should have gone and bought a 6-point box wrench
instead of using the 12-point in my tool box. Rookie mistake. I still have
a little hope of freeing it without dropping the power train, but not much.
About the only progress I can report is that I got the car back into the
garage after sitting out in the weather since last Fall.
I had a wonderful dream last night that I got the engine to crank (not
start, just crank). Still, I was so disappointed when I woke up.
In my youth, I'd wake up disappointed after dreaming about some cheerleader.
I think I need help (psychological, as well as technical).
Have fun tomorrow. Hope you have enough guys to turn Dan's car over.
