Hi Curt! Yes I did. The machinist is off on Friday's so Jeff pressed my
old bearing off and pressed the NOS bearing on. I got lucky and found a real
nice NOS bearing on e-bay a couple of weeks ago for $80.00. Jeff also took it
apart for me and re-packed it with good synthetic grease. They were
reasonable on labor ($25.00). I didn't think that was too bad. They had plenty of
parts to choose from as well. I needed left & right air doors and a skid
plate cover for my 62 and they had bins full of both. It looks like they are
finally getting organized with their used parts selection. Jeff gave me grief
for not bringing club members along, but I explained I didn't send out the
e-mail until after 6pm the night before I left. Sorry about that everyone, but
it was kind of a last minute decision to go up. Maybe we can make a trip up
as a club this Spring? Jeff also tried to sell me a 67 sedan. He descibed
it as an all original two-tone with factory air. I didn't bother looking at
it because at that point I was starting to go numb from standing in the
unheated machine shop. Anyway, it was a good trip. I hope to see you all at the
next meeting. By the way, I'm in the market for a LM convertible if anyone
has any leads.
Take care, Ron
