[NoVa-Corvairs] Spring Carlisle

There is Spring Carlisle & Fall Carlisle, and about another 10 specialty
weekends throughout the summer (Corvettes only, Trucks, Chryslers, etc.).
Carlisle seems to cater to the post-war crowd, while Fall Hershey (another
parts/show/swap meet you should not miss), caters to the pre-war crowd. Any
restoration supplier you can think of will be there, TIP, Eastwood, Year
One, etc. I would say it is about 1/2 private people selling everything
from NOS down to rusted out junk, to the pros with their slick trailers full
of reproductions. I would imagine Camaro parts will be well represented.
If you are looking for Corvair parts it would be best to wear a sign. They
will be there but you have to look for them. Cotrofeld is usually there to
advertize his restoration business. You will walk all day and not see it
all... I like to go to look at non-Corvair classics for sale, there will be
around 1,000, and also to see what prices people think they can get for
their rides. Every year I see a few cars that I think are well worth the
price. This week I am going in search of new windlace for the '60 (Clark's
doesn't have it for that early; however, Kanter Auto sells it, but I want to
see it in person before I buy), plus some HD D-rings for the trailer. It is
a great way to re-energize for the summer, and you will be anxious to get
back home to work on your own projects. Think of it as a pilgramage. You
will not be dissapointed!!!
