[NoVa-Corvairs] preregistration update

Guys:

I made a few phone calls this morning to some of the Virginia Corvair
clubs and here is what I learned.  Most of the people from these clubs
that come to Vair Fairs will be at ours.  George Jones from Tidewater
said that in the years they have been doing this they have found that
almost half of the registrations are on-site and another chunk trickles
in the last two weeks.  Darrin, I did learn that some more registrations,
such as Wade Lanning's have just been put in the mail.

One thing that Mr. Jones heard from people at a recent South Carolina
event was that the $99 room rate was a turn off.  Other problems
mentioned we already know about such as late getting the registration
form out and the wrong phone number for the hotel.  The guys I talked to
did not know about the room rate cut-off.  Wade looked at his
registration form and said it was not on there.

Again the clubs I talked to are having club meetings this week and the
people I talked to will push the event at these meetings.  I will call my
contacts later in the week and see if I can get a feel for how things are
going.
