Hi Richard,

Yes, the pockets need to be bored larger, and the seats are an  
interference fit into the heads.  There's an article in the CORSA  
Tech Guide that goes into a fair amount of detail, including precise  
measurements and part numbers.  Most folks just send this out to a  
Corvair shop, but I realize this may not be a good option for you.
