Thanks for taking time to respond.  You, Virginia, and the kids have a great Christmas holiday.  Tomorrow I drive to Illinois to spend my Christmas.
Regarding the towing,yes, the tow dolly has all the normal lights and directionals.  Ron Tumolo got back to me and said that U-haul has no restrictions on using personal equipment.  This is based on his own and a friend's experience but then he called U-haul and asked and they said no problem.  If I had a company, Ron would be on my payroll.  The company that said no was Budget where I could have saved money but I did make the reservation with U-haul;.  Still, like you, I wondered about the connections, both electrical and the ball, and so I will stop by the local U-haul station and look at their equipment.
