Thanks Bryan,

Good summary. What are goody bags and the program book?

I just registered the domain name vairfair.com for use as a registration
web site.

Bryan, is it possible for you to host the website on your server? I have
finally gotten an older version of FrontPage and will set up a special web
page for Vair Fair registration with a link to the NoVaCC page and the
host hotel page (if they have one)...also to any sponsors who donate
prizes to the event.

Ron - can I get the logo in PDF format for use on the web site?

This will be my evening project for the rest of the week (once my son's
valentines are all filled out tonight).

We discussed including the peoples choice entry fee in the registration
fee, but concensus was that a higher registration fee would cause sticker
shock for some. We can revisit this issue on Saturday, but need to
finalize and get this information out as I am starting to get calls. Also,
a cheap vendor registration fee for three spaces should help us draw a
couple more vendors....but this scheme would limit us to seven vendors in
the back lot. Any thoughts on that one welcome.

I have put the child banquet category at 7 and under...is that the
standard approach? Anybody have last years form?

Prices as I recorded them are as follows (price for pre-registration/price
at event):

Family Registration Fee which includes a Dash Plaque and 1 Door Prize
Ticket - $15/20
Friday evening pizza and beer welcome event - Free to all!
Model Car Show (per entry) $3/5
Peoples Choice Car Show $5/8
Vendor Space (3 parking spaces in the rear lot) $8/10
Valve Cover Races (per contestant) $3/5
Brilliant four color T-shirt $15/17 - Not sure what sizes we have
available....Ron?
Saturday evening banquet - $_________/________ Should also indicate menu
on web site if available.
Saturday banquet child under 7 (?) years old - $_________/__________
Video Game Racing (Grand Tourismo 4) - $3/5
Rally - $5/8
Sunday Autocross - ???

Let me know any questions or corrections.

I have the form from last time from AJ which I will modify with the
current logo and some reformatting.

If we don't do an autocross, maybe we can sabotage a few of our cars and
register teams of four to have them troubleshoot the problem - both based
on the behavior of the car and info we provide...each of, say, five cars
can be a single troubleshooting station and each team can move from
station to station all at the same time...with a person at each car
serving as the judge, recorder of correct guesses...just an idea that
needs alot of work.

That is pretty much it for now. The sooner we can nail down the banquet
and Sunday event, the better, but we agreed that we will leave Sunday an
open question as far as this form goes and allow people to register for it
upon arrival. Any other ideas on this welcome.

Best,

Darrin

[NoVa-Corvairs] Vair Fair planning update 2/13/07

Hi folks,

Here are my updated notes from Saturday. I think we covered most of
Curt's agenda, but there are still some questions, please look over the
whole thing and send questions and comments (try to trim down to just
the part you're commenting on). Darrin, if you can send out the costs
we have so far, I'll add them to my notes as well. The schedule for
Friday and Saturday is fairly complete.
