For your engine number T1202V; T means Tonowanda where the engine was
made, 12 means December, 02 means the second day of the month. So your
engine was made in Tonowanda on DEC 2. Your suffix should have been a
"Z" for powerglide or a "Y" for manual so maybe the V you saw is a poorly
stamped Y?
I have not found the book with the paint codes in it yet.
