Now there is something that I never considered. Dropping a valve seat in the middle of nowhere dosen't sound like a fun time to me. If my van was a manual trans I probably would already have been taking it out of gear on the downhills. With automatic transmissions it just feels unnatural to be switching around the gear selector. Ill be sure to take it out of gear on downhills now.
