Nice write-up. You may see it again! There is no way to get around that costs are constantly going up. Look at the average cost of a Corvair. You would have to pay about $5,000 for the car I bought in 2003 for $2900! As to convention/reunion venues, try getting anything for a low price. Unless you do everything like preparing food, setting up equipment, etc. yourself, any hotel/hall is going to charge you a lot. And we know that Corvair people aren't afraid to spend money!
