All: My concern is three-fold. First, I kind of like driving to other parts of Virginia to check out the countryside, and try different ways of getting there and back. I don't know if I would have visited Fort Monroe, or Lynchburg, or Roanoke (where I went to a Salem Avalanche game), etc., unless the Vair Fair was being held there. Second, members who live close to a permanent venue will end up doing a lot more work, year after year, since they will live in close proximity to the hotel. I believe Rex & Ann live close to the proposed location, maybe we should ask them, and others in their area. Finally, with gas prices escalating, our Vair Fair in Leesburg probably drew alot more attendees from Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, that probably would not have gone if it were in Virginia Beach. The same would hold true for southern parts of Virginia pulling more attendees up from North Carolina and south. My two cents, so far... Thanks for listening! Greg
