Hey, Gang! I will not be able to make to Ron's this Saturday; however, you are all invited to come to the Rockville Car Show immediately after the meeting. I've been invited to show the RedBrier in the show (more details below). I've never actually been to this show, so it should be fun. If I am not mistaken, the Heritage Display is trying to feature fuel efficient cars from GM's past.

The final field layout for the Heritage show: There will be five lines --220 feet long with ~35 feet aisles between pairs of lines. Four cars will go across the top of the aisles forming a big inverted "U" shape so people can start at the bottom of one leg of the "U", walk up looking at cars as they go, walk across the top of the inverted "U", and then go back down the other side. Once they reach the bottom, the next "U will be right there (two lines of cars will be back to back) and they'll start up the third line.

All the Corvairs will be at the top of the "U" formed by the third and fourth lines. If I remember correctly, we'll have the '60 sedan, '61 Lakewood, '62 Spyder, '62 Rampside, '63 Greenbrier, '66 Corsa coupe, '66 Yenko coupe, '66 Convertible and '69 Convertible in that order. The rest of the fourth line will be filled out by the Corvettes.

There should be another 5-10 Corvairs, not in the Heritage display, elsewhere on the field! I hope to see you sometime Saturday afternoon! Greg (I'll be on my bby: 202-306-8916)
