Ok, I'm a little confused. Are we meeting at 28 and 50 at 9 AM? If
so, where exactly? If we aren't meeting the group there, what time
should we get to Bill's house?
I may even get to drive a Corvair there :-)
BTW, our friend Richard is coming up from Bolivia, I have a list of
bits he's looking for below. I don't have much early stuff myself,
but maybe some of you do. I have the photos he sent if you think you
have something and need them. Bear in mind these parts are for a '60:
1. Gas tank filler neck and cap. I bought the rubber hose and clamps.
2. Road draft tube. Don't know how it disappeared.
3. Tubes for choke/manifold. I can probably fabricate these.
4. A second side mirror (have 1 ea. 60-61 some corrosion, & 62-65
pointed -
in best shape)- I didn't realize when I got these that they were two
different years.
5. Left rear corner bumper support brackets (set of 2)- see picture
what I
have on the right side.
6. Tunnel cover (for toe wall) & multiple tube clamp and seal -
section 1
page 12 of assembly manual (under dash)
7. Muffler strap - no big deal, I can always make it. I got the
support
that mounts to the engine.
8. Plastic horn button insulator for steering wheel. I don't see it
at the
vendors, but will make one on a lathe if I can't find one.
9. Three prong horn insulator for steering wheel
10. Turn signal lever
11. Turn signal switch - the corner of mine is broken off
12. Dash/windshield trim piece (per picture) - the body shop gave this
little piece from the DRIVER's side to the paint store to try to
match the
paint, but they lost it. I'm showing the passenger side piece next
to where
the Driver's side should go.
13. I'm also trying to find a 1960 - 3 speed cover for the accelerator
pivot, but that looks like near impossible so far. Very few 60 3 speeds
around in the scrape yards.
