It's a good idea to flush *any* brake system using DOT 3 or 4 fluid  
every couple of years.  The stuff is like a magnet and will pull  
water out of the air right through the hoses.

You missed two items - CORSA roster and Visa card.  I personally  
prefer safety triangles to flares.

Not a CORSA member?  This is another reason it's a good idea.  I'd  
personally rather call a CORSA member than a random towing company,  
even if it's to find out which towing company to call.  Around here,  
my answer is Willow Springs, not Henry's.
