Hi Folks,
Not too late for a Fall Tour. Bill Elliot lives up in Germantown (see below) and has a fascinating collection of FAST classics and near classics...and several Corvairs including, I think, a Stinger he picked up this year or last. He is willing to host a meeting in the Spring and has, I think, a portable lift. I have been trying to get him to join for a bit as he does all his own work on his car and used to work at a Corvair only shop in the area.
He has lots of cars of interest and likes both fast and smaller quirky cars and has pretty good knowledge of all British small cars. He has one of those three wheel micro cars...and a real Mini from back in the day...interesting stuff, but not a museum, they all drive.
What do you think? Anyone want to lay out a route. Leaves are changing...all that.
By the way, the Rockville show is moved to next Saturday to continue our tradition of them holding the show when we have a meeting. Bad news for me as I like to go to the Rockville show.

I have a garage that can be made comfortable BUT my lift doesn't fit inside (assuming you want the car more than a foot off the ground)... so a spring/summer event is likely better....
I live in and around some of the most scenic routes in the area... we ran a rally here for the International Mini Meet and had the UK participants saying that these are what the UK roads _used_ to look like....
If you'd ever like me to lay out a rally route (or "steal" the full rally that we did) I think it could be very enjoyable... even now some wineries along the way as well!
Even on a normal drive up, I'd recommend coming up through Leesburg and either taking 15 up... or even better jumping across White's Ferry which gets you in the middle of all the MD back roads very quickly....
Let me know what the meeting schedule is and I'll join as I can.
Bill
