I would consider the Corvair an orphan car much like the Edsel although they
still make Fords.  After 1966 the Corvair was unwanted car that was only
kept around to save face on pending litigation.  Hey in my mind it is an
orphan car as is my 09 Pontiac G8.  Based on the warranty service I am
trying to get on my G8 I could only imagine the horror a 1969 Corvair owner
went through in 1970 to get their car repaired at the dealer.  I also got a
letter from Pontiac good for several years with a cash offer towards a new
GM car just like the 1969 Corvair owners did.  This is my last GM car. 
Since Ford did take my tax dollars looks like a blue oval next time.  Kudos
to them. Socialist and communist never built good cars.  I think I might
plan on Going.  Allen
