To All,

I changed out my plugs in the Corvair along with a voltage regulator Ron gave me. Thanks Ron! The generator is bad after all as the light remains on and my battery was using its own juice to keep the car running. I did notice on the 4 cylinder the spark plug that I pulled out was skinnier and I guess a larger fitting than the ones I purchased which were numbered 425 auto lite and 5 of then fit perfectly except the one I pulled. The one I pulled out had number 103 on it and also an auto lite. I used a larger spark plug socket for the 5 I pulled out and replaced but had to use a smaller spark plug socket to pull out the smaller spark plug. Anyone have an idea why 5 spark plugs I purchased fit and the last one did not? I purchased the spark plugs suggested from my "How to keep your Corvair Alive". Have no idea why the difference as the spark plug I purchased would not fit? Jus the one that was previously installed? I am still awaiting the generator from the guy in Missouri as it was suppose to arrive today and did not. I think the car sound a hell of alot better installing new plugs. Just need some help installing my gen when it arrives, possibly checking my timing one more time, and trying to see if the Corvair will drive like it should. The blinker still needs fixed along with the speedometer cable and hopefully when I install a new generator the light on the dash will go off?

Thank you all for your input. I work full time to. So I do fill all your pain, plus I have a newborn son, lol.

Managing alot, but can't wait to get the 1960 ironed out. Exhaust pipe needed to be seriously changed along with at least the driver side floor pan welded in at the least to be drivable.
