Then fuel is no getting fro the tank to the carbs an you have to drop the
tank or at least pull the gas gauge sender/pick up tube from the tan, blow
out the line and take a look in the tank and see what is going on. should
idle if it ts getting gas to the carbs. No idle means that the pumps won't
do any good yet, though still needed.
Not hard to do, but you will need a floor jack and some jack stands.
Sucks, but you now have to work from the carbs back to the tank to find the
starvation issue. Could be a bad fuel pump as Doug was saying as well. If
can swap in a known good one that will answer for the pump...then move to
the tank. You can still sometimes find them at advance auto and such.
Maybe someone here has a spare and is close to you.
