Or the fact car may have not been driven a while along with an oil change that needs to be done could be contributing factors to the low performance. I'm capping of the fuel line entrance for the gas heater and possible the gas heater also. Anyone who has time is more than welcome to drive it and tell me what they think is the issue at or over 40 miles per hour?

The carbs run good with low fuel pressure pressing on the gas, but then the car sputters and of course that is when I noticed the leakage of fuel in the location of were the heater is located floor board wise?

>> Thanks to Ron and his extreme assistance. My Corvair is a runner with a 10 gallon fuel supply from the tank! We did it. Thank all for the support last weekend in reference to carbs and tuning! Ron and I found a crimped and split hose from the sending unit to the fuel line. Was letting air get into the line. Happen to be the rubber hose that connect in between the two. The Corvair did not need a pump after all. The pump was hand pumped with connecting screw on the bottom out of the pump by hand until the carbs were full after we replaced the rubber tubing for the gas line. The jets were squirting the carbs and my cake started right up. I'll give her drive tomorrow and see how she does. I'll hit you all back with the result.

>>> LD: Nice to see your E-mail. It means you are still kicking. I have attached a photo of your old Greenbrier. The picture was taken at the last Corvair convention in Sturbridge, MA. Greg said that he has put 20,000 miles on it since he got it from you. Curt
