Roger that, Ron. I did some research. The other year tanks will not fit and I think you and I pointed out that the sending units are different. The sending unit I have will have to to be cleaned out and parts replaced from the other year Corvairs sending unit. The inline fuel filter will be a fix I will try to initiate and look into the spark plug fix.
Perhaps Greg may have an extra tank I can get?
Other than that, I will try to tighten up my loose ends other wise.Greg said my gas tank could be resealed and I know the Corvair Ranch offers that service, but I am not driving up there to let Jeff do that, lol.
Saturday sounds fine on the bearing grease task,
Appreciate the guidance as always, Ron.

Justin,

I don't have any spare tanks.  As Bryan pointed out, the 60 tanks are
unique both with respect to size and how the fuel sending unit
attaches to the tank. The 60 sending unit attaches with sheet metaI
screws. If you get a 61-64 style tank you will need to get a new
sending unit that fits the newer tanks. The newer sending units attach
with a steel o-ring and rubber gasket that locks into the opening of
the newer tanks.  I know you have a full tank of gas, so it might be
worth picking up an inexpensive fuel line filter so you can at least
keep the dirt and rust from getting to your carbs, at least until you
have a chance to address tank replacement. If you order a 61-64 tank
from Clark's, ask them if it will fit into the cavity of the 60 and
don't forget to order a new strap to hold the tank in place.

On the helicoil replacement, I've never done one and would be
reluctant to try it w/o some of the more experienced members looking
over my shoulder.

I can assist with greasing the blower fan bearing with the tool Darrin
provided.  My weekend is filling up quick, so it would have to be
early Saturday morning, between 0800-1000.

Be patient and have faith, it will all come together.

Ron
