[NoVa-Corvairs] Gas Sender Unit Remover Tool

My grandson and I are just beginning work on my 1969 Corvair that has not been out of the shadow of my garage since I purchased it in 1991.  I have started it periodically since buying it, but have not gotten serious about putting it in excellent mechanical condition until now.  The interior of the vehicle is like new, and there is very little rust anywhere on the vehicle.  The fuel system needs to be cleaned up, the wheel brake cylinders replaced, and some (hopefully) minor adjustments to the engine.  I have owned one or more Corvairs since 1970 when I bought a 1969 because the crank shaft in my new Pontiac suddenly broke and I desperately needed a vehicle.  I put about 100,000 miles on the vehicle, and gave it to one of my sons to take to college.  He drove it for about three years, had a really sharp paint job done (silver over black) and sold the vehicle for more than I paid for it.  All of my sons have driven Corvairs, and one son is still driving a 1967 with a sunroof that has been in the family for about 35 years.

In my younger days I did lots of work on Corvairs, and have accumulated several tools that make the various jobs considerably easier, cleaner, and less frustrating.  Now that I am older I need to make the job as easy and worry free as possible.  I generally buy or borrow a special tool to get a job done.  This brings me to the subject matter of a Gas Sender Unit Removal tool.  The last time I added fuel to the vehicle was a few years ago.  The sock on the pickup tube for the line inside the tank has apparently been completely clogged by the gasoline.  I need to remove the gas sender unit so the inside of the tank can be inspected/cleaned and/or replaced as necessary.  I would be deeply grateful if anyone has the special tool for removing this gadget and  would loan it to me for a few days.

While I am on the subject of special tools, I am curious to know if there is a registry of available tools within the club that can be borrowed for such purposes.  If not, I would be happy to collect the necessary information and maintain a registry.

Please let me know if you have the gas sender unit removal tool, because I need it this coming week.
