[NoVa-Corvairs] Restoring trim

Daniel,
The paint pen I mentioned is a Dupli-color Scratch Fix 2 in 1 Applicator. The color is Victory Red, NG GM 519. I believe I found it at the Pep Boys store on Rt 1 just south of the Occaquan bridge. The color match was pretty close but there were a couple choices. You might want to take a trim section with you to compare. There may be another red that's a perfect match.
See you at the holiday party.
Cheers,
Mark

The Testors is way to red staraight out of the bottle so I tried to mix red and black to get the right color. After numerous color mixing attemps, it was never quite right, but I repainted the red bits anyway.

They make many different reds, more than Testors offers, no mixing. Anyway, I re-touched up the red sections using the pen with the trim still on the car and it came out great. It was much easier to use than the Testors paint, hardly any cleanup. I'd go with the paint pen. It looks like a big magic marker, I think the cost was $10 or so.
