Frank

Is there a lot of RPM difference between 3;55 and 3:27. I know mine is a 3:27 and at
70 MPH my tach shows about 32 RPM.About what would a 3;55 show.

Thanks

Richard

BTW,

An original Spyder would have 3.55 gears, and a typical Monza had 3.27
gears for a four speed. Now, either differential could be either ratio by
this time, but I would check it. If Richard's car now has 3.27 gears, it
will be more noisy and get poorer fuel mileage than a 3.55 ratio. Now, if
Richard is interested in faster acceleration or stop light drag racing,
then the 3.55 is the preferred ratio.

In any case, yes, that differential is good. A few hours and a new snout
can be in it, ready for another 100k miles.

Sure Bob, we're in Springfield and I am pretty flexible this week, let me
know when you're thinking.

BTW, don't toss that old diff, it sounds like a likely good core for a
rebuild.

get your pilot bushing tool since you are out of town this weekend? I
