Thanks Frank...very helpful.
Freddy from the farm is a shorter trip, but no weekend hours kills it.
I have a set of 95 heads with Tom in TX right now. He is welding up the quench area and then milling back flat to the level of the head gasket register. Will port and add larger valves (big valve mod). No bill yet, but he sends pics of the heads in process. This is for a turbo motor.
There must be a decent shop in Rockville or Manassass. Time to call Jack.
Best,
Darrin

Chuck Sadek, BBRT, uses Cooper Motor Service here in Freddysburg. So, just two hour round trip!
And no weekend hours either...
Crankshafts do not require Corvair experience.
I (Allen Bristow used them) used Eubanks's Automotive for cranks, which is way down in Spottsylvania or Caroline county,. so back to 3 hour round trip.
Heads I sent to Mike Leveque for deep seats. Tom Knoblock (sp?) would be the one for porting/better flow and seats in head. He is in Texas.
