I second the thanks to Ron and Karen!
Oh and BTW, I like the idea of the chalk on the pavement marking the voting category.  That was a great touch.

All:  Obviously with only 2-4(?) competitors, schlepping the Valve Cover Track up from Virginia Beach was not worth the effort.  (A BIG THANK YOU TO RON & KAREN for doing this!)

Maybe we should open registration at 3 Friday afternoon.  It seemed as though we had a number of attendees show up quite early.  It seemed as though they might have been looking around for some snacks...  (Thank you Vern & Fred!)

I don't know if getting the kegs of beer was worth the $ and effort also...  If we want to serve beer, 2-3 12 packs might be enough...  What was the cost?  Were they both kicked?  (Thank you Doug Jones!)

I guess our guests (and staff) were not as hungry as we thought they would be!  Next time, only 3-4 packs of muffins, instead of 8.  (We ended up raffling 4 packages).  We overbought on drinks, and potato and tortilla chips.  The amounts for "pinwheel" wraps and croissant sandwiches seemed to be good, and the cut up fruit and veggie trays seemed to go.  (Thank you Ron, Greg & AJ!)

The People's Choice went well.  Next time we have to make sure everyone has one or two ballots in their goodie bags.  My biggest fear was too many people showing up and not being able to park their Corvairs in their class, but it was not a problem at all this time (we had 3 extra spaces).  (Thank you Greg & Darrin)

A 1/2 sheet cake probably would have been good with all the cookies we had left over to supplement.  I think the full sheet cake was @$90!  (Thank you, Karen!)

I really like the idea of a self guided tour/rally!  You don't have to find anything and can just enjoy the scenery!  It also killed a few hours.  Nothing is worse than hanging around at a small show with no events to look forward to.  (Thank you again, Ron & Karen!)

We had one inside and one outside vendor.  $10 to vend was cheap!  If I had more time to gather some things up, I would also have tried to sell a few things...  I don't know if the inside vendor made any sales, but the outside vendor sold at least two rebuilt starters, one of which was installed in the parking lot.  (Thank you Junkman Dan!)

Although we had more than enough plaques for awards, we overlooked an award for the winner of the valve cover race!  Luckily, we had two winners in other classes who won more than one award, one of which was willing to give up one of his duplicates to satisfy the winner of the valve cover race.  (Thank you, Joe Darinsig!)  Obviously, this will not be a problem next time if we don't have the race...

We did not have a few classes for plaques...  Long distance (in a Corvair, of course!) might have encouraged a few others to come from farther away.  Best of Show? (That gold '67 'vert was just spectacular!)  What about Hard Luck?  (We had more than one competitor here).

The plaques and dash plaques were GREAT!  (Thank you Bryan!)

The Tshirts were also a GREAT hit!  (Thank you, Stan!)

The location continues to be great!  We had a number of people stop by just to take a look!

Did anyone from the club rally up to the Ranch?  How did that work out?  I do think it is a good idea for our club to host our show the same weekend as the Ranch open house.

The BIGGEST THANK YOU needs to go to Ron & Karen Tumolo for coordinating everything!  Other than the mid-afternoon storm, overall the show was a grand success!  THANKS!
