How much fixing up are you willing to undertake?   Lots of project cars around.  I know of one in the Rockville area that is pretty OK overall, but has no engine (I have low standards for what is OK though).

Hello All:


Looking for a corvair to fix up.  What do you know that is out there that may be for sale that is not on craigs list?  Van, Truck, late model with manual transmissions are preferred.  I will look at and early if it is a great deal.   Let me know if you can point me to anyone.

The meeting,sale aution and lecture are held at the American Legion on Balls Hills Rd in McLean.   Parking lot sale starts around 10:00am , mini auction around 11:00.   Then the presentation.   Wide ranging of tool interest.   So you can sometimes pick up a great buy on tools of all sorts.

PATINA Members and Friends
Our speaker on November 13, will be Johann von Katzenelnbogen. Johann is dedicated to the art of creating historically inspired furniture, with a goal of achieving an authentic and age defying look. Johann’s primary focus is working with hand tools.
Johann von Katzenelnbogen began woodworking at age four, as he grew older, he became more and more interested in historical furniture and spent his high-school years building scale reproductions of both furniture and rooms. In college he studied Interior and furniture design as well as fine art. Since 1997 he has been working full time running his furniture and interior woodworking company, Johann International. Johann’s primary passion is for medieval things, but well made, beautiful objects from all periods of history appeal to him. He has worked in many countries around the world. In the US his work can be found in many private collections as well as the Dolly Madison House and the South African Embassy.
