Hey All,
I get this list from Chuck MacDonald. it really expands my knowledge of some of the car events. It reminded me of the Show at the Old Soldiers home in DC next month. And some close shows in Va and Md. Has some links to almost everything around within 100 miles.
Always good if you want to try a new one. -- Lee Cramp
Since most of you do not seem interested and I do not expect a flood of interest, I am Still willing to have anyone come as my guest on one of the Local AACA tours. Always great roads out in the country side for up to 70 miles or so. More fun than sitting in the hot sun. But do both! Our Corvairs are almost all over 50 years OLD! REAL Antique Cars! So see what it is like to be around some other cars of that era and earlier. You can usually drive Modern on a local tour.

Last day of SUMMER is the 21st! TIME REALLY DOES FLY! SO THIS IS GREAT WAY TO KICK OFF YOUR LAST COUPLE OF WEEKENDS OF SUMMER
Join us EVERY Friday evening at Harry’s Laytonsville Cruise In. I plan on being there and offering the “Pot Of Gold” drawing once again. When we have at least 20 cars show up. When the Pot is $40.00 or more we will divide the Pot four ways this way you increase you chance of winning, our largest Pot to date was $140.00 so if we hit that number again you drive home with $35.25, When the pot is under $40.00 we will have two drawings, you just can’t beat the odds and this is the ONLY Cruise In that you can win some bucks!.
THEN
Join us EVERY Saturday morning at "Jay's" Bethesda Cars N Coffee at the Corner Bakery 10327 Westlake Drive Bethesda, MD 20814 8AM - 10AM then visit the Farmers Market at Westfield Montgomery. The market runs from 9 AM - 1:30 PM rain or shine and they have 40 vendors there on a weekly basis. We have meat, poultry, cheese, produce, baked goods, distilleries, prepared food to go and much more. We have live music each week and we are dog friendly too! The market will run through November 17th, 2018.

Randy Bograd provided this information about Saturday’s Charles Town Car Show;
Car show Pre-registering does 3 things: saves U a few $$ dollars, makes for a shorter faster line at registration, and gets U in the running to win one of our highly coveted corner spots. It does not however hold a certain spot or any spot for that matter. It is truly first come first serve. pre-register in the next day or 2 at http://www.eventbrite.com Search for Charles Town Car Show and buy 1 ticket for your car.
With that being said here some info u might want below:
The show officially starts at 10AM and ends at 3PM, however, we close streets at 7AM and registration starts at 8AM. So we essentially start parking cars at 7:05AM and there will be 50-100 cars waiting to park at that time. I’ve attached a map showing the show setup and the entrances...in my opinion, you will want to be there before 8-830AM in order to get a good spot on main street, best entrance is west end of Washington street by Thomassens Ford.
We typically have over 450 registered cars and over 5000 spectators attend the show. Our trophy bill it literally over $5,000 and we give the biggest and best trophies around...81 trophies total. Including 20 specialty cups which are solid wood bases with steel 21" cups and are picked by various entities such as Mayor, Chief of Police, Merchants, etc.....standard judging is participant ballot meaning you will get to pick the top 10 cars in your opinion excluding your own. Those votes are tallied and that is the top 50.. so the top 50 is picked by your peers..... we also have a way to include the newer vehicles as well so everyone is in the running for the trophies.
Preregistered attendees will be in the drawing to win one of our highly coveted corner spots to park their car right in the middle of all the action.
We will have a live band 12:30 - 2:30PM, model car contest, beer garden, our huge weekly farmers market, all merchants downtown open, kids’ stuff, vendors, official #88 NASCAR and simulator just to name a few. And you won’t want to miss the model T club that is coming to tear apart a Model T, reassemble, and drive away in a half hour!
Once in town you will be detoured around the show and depending on what time u get here depends on which entrance is open. Once parked by an attendant, head to Eventbrite preregistration at the corner square or the registration booth if you did not pre-register.(both located beside each other). Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks. Duane Marcus. 304-886-5600
