The Performance Corvair Group has a big event aka Racers Reunion 20-23 September. A Vintage Road Race at VIR (Virginia International Raceway) Most of you remember that we had a Corvair-only race at Road America in 2016. That was the Brian Redmond’s Hawk presented by Weathertech at Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI. We are going to do it again! Bigger, better, more cars. SVRA (Sportscar Vintage Race Association) is the host organization for the Heacock Gold Cup races in September at VIR and our Corvair’s are the featured marque. As at Road America, our cars will compete in the Groups they are classified in, Group 3 or 8 with the exception of the V8 car which is in Group 6. Additionally, we will have a feature race for Corvair’s only. At Road America, we had 12 cars racing including Mike Levine’s V8 car, many Yenko Stingers and other race prepped Corvairs. All started our Corvair –only race.
