Not too hard to get the hang of polishing. You can do it all by hand on a board covered with towels, an old blanket , or a packing quilt (cheap adaquet ones at Harbor frieght).<BR>

I have alot of stuff packed away, but i may have a motor with a polishing arbor and pad attached. used with Rouge (polishing) when I was working with lots of antique window and door hdw.<BR>
<BR>
But you can get almost to where you need to be using very fine and finer wet/dry paper.<BR>
<BR>
If the stuff is not too banged up there are lots of metal polishing liqueds. And polishing compunds out there. Pretend it is Great, Great Grandmas Silver.<BR>

Start with the least abrasive stuff and go from there. Like I said , you do not have to use power. Nice, but safer by hand until you get the feel.<BR>

But then you are talking to a guy who still likes to use hand planes.<BR>

You should find good pictures , part no. or at least the various types in the 1960 shop manuel. All the early manuels had the body section included.<BR>

If you do not have a 60 shop manuel, Clarks is good as well as Evil-Bay. Not out rageous as they are very 60 specific...Will also show you the instalation techniques Too late for the removal.<BR>
