Hi Frank: Good information! Do you know the part number
for the larger clips on the carbs? Or is the 2L the larger clip?

The original choke clip is a 1L. This is a discontinued part
from the clip manufacturers. I have tried all the sources I could Google. A 2L
is the best you can do. Typically found in the "Help" (by Dorman) section of
the auto parts store in a package of several different sizes. Or, ask anyone
who rebuilds carbs, as that is the clip used on the accelerator pump linkage
on a Rochester H, HV, so every kit I buy has a new one in it.

See

sounds right on this hot day. I wouldn't worry yet.

Brake lights and
turn signals use same filaments in the rear. Also, both go through the turn
signal switch. Start by shorting the terminals on the brake light switch, this
should light both rear bright bulbs if the turn signal switch is in the middle
position.

Congratulations on getting the car done!

Frank
