<DIV>Last Saturday I attended the MOTAA International Car Meet in Burnsville,
MS. I entered my 1963 Spyder Convertible and managed to get a Senior
Award for the presentation. MOTAA presents a metal badge that can be
attached to your grill or license plate at this level. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Aside from bragging about my car, there was another Corvair
present at the show. It was a 1960 4-door sedan in <U>excellent</U>
condition. I talked to the owner and he said he was interested in selling
the car, which has been in his family for a number of years. I know that
it is a very long drive from VA to MS, but I thought I should let you know about
very nice car that is for sale. <FONT size=2></FONT>Here is the information on
this car:</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>1960 Corvair Model 700 4-door Sedan - <STRONG>See photo, Attachment
100-2522.</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV>41,000 original miles</DIV>
<DIV>Original engine recently upgraded with higher compression pistons -
estimated HP is now 100 hp.</DIV>
<DIV> I did not check on transmission type: manual or
automatic??</DIV>
<DIV>Interior has been redone with blue cloth and it looks brand
new.</DIV>
<DIV>Exterior paint is a blue and it in excellent shape.</DIV>
<DIV> No body dents or rust!</DIV>
<DIV>Everything works - absolutely no repairs required</DIV>
<DIV>Bumper chrome front and rear is excellent</DIV>
<DIV>Dual outside mirrors</DIV>
<DIV>Wire wheel covers</DIV>
<DIV>Stone guard over headlights</DIV>
<DIV>Front and rear spoilers - front nicely integrated with body (these are the
only changes)</DIV>
<DIV>It even has a Corvair tissue dispenser installed as an option</DIV>
<DIV>A gas heater was provided with this car, (owner says it works, but it is
disconnected since not required).</DIV>
<DIV>The owner is a retired auto mechanic, who is skilled with working on
Corvairs and other cars. He is interested in working on Corvairs if
someone needs repairs, tune-ups, etc. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>He said he was asking $12,000.00 for the car. (I did not ask, but I
would guess the price is negotiable.)</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>If we know of anyone who would like to become a Corvair owner or if
any member would like to add another Corvair to their collection, this car
should be considered. They can contact the owner, Dan Decker, at
731-608-4492. He lives in Finger, TN, which is south of Jackson, TN,
which is about 30 miles north of Corinth, MS.</DIV>
