sans-serif">Maryland's Anne Arundel County. </FONT>The Tour, known this year as the "Arundel Steeple Chase" is comprised of a morning car show at 10 AM ("The Orphan Car Showcase"), the traditional afternoon driving tour which starts at noon, and a 4 PM buffet dinner. (The public is welcome to attend the car show.) The Tour is open to antique "orphan" (no longer manufactured) vehicles, and will be held rain or shine.</FONT><BR><BR><FONT face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Participants will meet at the Annapolis Moose Lodge at 1980 Crownsville Rd. starting at 9:00 AM. At noon, after the two-hour "orphan" car show, cars will be released onto the tour one by one. </FONT><FONT face="Helvetica,
Arial, sans-serif"><FONT face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Drivers are given printed directions and can proceed at their own pace along a scenic route, pausing at points of interest along the way. This year's stops include at least one antique car collection, a historic one-room schoolhouse, and various scenic spots. In addition, the directions contain "queries" about objects glimpsed along the route, testing participants' observational abilities. The afternoon ends with the buffet dinner, where photos of the day's route will be projected on a screen, and various awards (including "query" contest awards) will be presented. Drivers are urged to bring along a navigator for reasons of safety.</FONT> <BR><BR>The registration fee is $10 per car and drivers can register on the day of the tour. Dinner is extra and dinner reservations must be made by May 28.
