            remove an early model bearing from the axle.  Pretty cool.

              two times I have had this problem the Yoke was more worn
              than the Axel spline.   Alot of us used to save the yoke
              and spline together as a unit.  But someone here should
              have a setup with a good axel.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black">If
              your bearing seems good it can be pulled off, regressed,
              and put back on.

              the steel axle to your machinist friends or make another
              part out of it.  Excellent steel.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
          <p><span

style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black">The
              60 to 62 axle bearing is easy to re-grease on the the axle
              as you can split the case/outer flange/shell by drilling
              out the rivets and do not have to put them back as the
              bolts/nuts that hold it on to the suspension keep it
              together.   Unless you are putting on a repro bearing and
              you still should grease.   Van/FC bearings can also be
              split this way and greased.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
          <p><span
style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
          <p><span
style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black">But
              at minimum use a grease needle thru the seal to put some
              really good waterproof grease in there.  The main reason
              they go bad is dry lubrication.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
          <p><span
style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black">So
              if you find the right year axle with bolt/washer. s and
              yoke with a bearing bad bet a new bearing, you could
              transfer yours if good or ordera new Clarks.   Always good
              to have an extra axle with bearing around especially if
              you  travel distance.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

              experiences from my part.   Oh,  I actually had an axle
              shear.  Right outward of the bearing so wheel and brake
              drum fell off and bearing and axle stayed on the FC.   On
              looking at it it had an old fracture that was there for
              years and the rest broke while going down 270 (almost 30
              years ago).
