Ben checked the PPCC P.O Box today and found 30+ news letters returned for
needing another $0.23 postage. It's interesting because we send out 70
newsletters so 1/2 made it through for $0.37. CopyMax raised the printing
cost $0.01/per impression (one side of a page) and changed from 20 weight
paper to 24 weigh paper about 6 months ago. At that time one of the clubs
we exchange with started getting hit for an extra 23 cents. I just started
cutting off the bottom margin for that newsletter and all is well. Because
of the discount we get for printing over 1000 pages, it cost the same
amount to print a 12 page news letter as it does to print eight with out
the over 1000 page discount.
We'll be talking to CopyMax about going back to 20 lb paper for our news
letter, we will also be talking to CopyIt who's price used to be just a
little bit cheaper than CopyMax, but their hours aren't near as good. With
Debbie not working a 40 hour week anymore, we may be able to make it work.
Its interesting it took the USPS between 3 and 4 weeks to return these news
letters.
Our intention is to get the Dripline to everyone about the first of the
month. We mailed the August issue Saturday morning so everyone in Colorado
should have got it today. If you haven't received it yet and don't get it
in the next couple of days, It's probably coming back.
Sorry for all the problems,
Dennis and Debbie
