I had a hard time parting with that car. The 102 is 60 over. The 3 plate oil cooler was replaced with and 8 plate. Everything was new or machined. The car was stripped to bare metal and sealed with DP40 epoxie primer. The only body damage is a slight dent on one of the front fenders which was pulled and has less than 1/8" filler. It has a 3.27:1 differential. I won a few econoruns with it. Since I last ran it in an econorun, I replaced the carbs with an almost new set of 64 carbs with 53 jets out of a 110 Greenbrier. Don't know what it did for the gas mileage, but it ran so much better, I never down jetted. It's really a fun car to drive. It was the smoothest riding Corvair I've ever owned.

Spring Corvair Greetings, (although it is a little flaky out my window right now)
I have ended up resurrecting corvairs that belonged to quite a number of our PPCC members that have passed away over the years and now I find that I have done it again..
Seems I never think about it, just do it for some reason? It has been like a subconscious salute to them! The latest gives me four licensed and insured Corvairs............. too many!
Have now brought Debbie and Dennis Pleau's 63 monza 900 white couple with a Steve gongora red interior seating pkg back to life.. It has been a ball driving it since last Sept.
It has total original 83K miles, has only been in CA, AZ, NM, and CO. Dennis told me the engine had 4,000 miles on it and it is a 4 spd with new 185 80 R13 white wall tires.. it is one of the most rust free early model bodies that I have ever seen.. I did checks including front wheel bearings, brakes, drain and refill all gearboxes as well as switching it over to all synthetic lubricants... the '63 has transmission and differential drain plugs which really makes changing those lubricants more convenient.
only needs a headliner and door panel work to be an excellent daily driver. I have been getting great comments on it for months without these two items, though.
Drive it home if you buy it.. will be putting it one craigslist/ebay but First, since it was another club member's corvair, I would rather see it stay in our Corvair circle. $1,900.
I have digital pics that we took just yesterday that we can send to anyone interested..
Regards and see you at Eric's house for the Pre Pagosa Tuneup/check
