Subject: [Rmc-list] 1965 Corsa Turbo Body Up For Grabs - All Ready Blasted, But Not Worth It To Me To Restore

  Hello PPCC and RMS Members,

I've got a 1965 Corsa Turbo body (shell with a clear title) sitting at Blast-Tech in Englewood, that after looking at the body without paint, I've decided to scrap the restoration project I was working on. Cutting my losses on this one (my wife has been a gem), but my loss could be your gain, if there's something you need off this freshly derusted hull of a car.

It will cost me around $900 to get the body out of Blast-Tech (yup, I'm having to suck up the loss), and my current plan is to flat bed it over to the crusher, right from there on Tuesday afternoon, hoping to get some money for the weight of the car. I'm told I'll only get a couple hundred bucks, if that, and the only thing I want to pull of the car are the rims, which are after market.

So, here's the deal; if someone wants the body, as is in all it's bareness they need to be able to pick it up themselves from Blast-Tech on Tuesday afternoon (or another time if they work something out with Gary from Blat-Tech), or pay to have it towed from Blast-Tech to where ever they would like. All I'm looking for is $100 and the wheels off the car.

If anyone is interested, just email me directly at halpinem at comcast.net<mailto:halpinem at comcast.net> and we can work out the details. If there is a mad rush of interested folks, because I know there are soooo many projects going on around the area in prep for the National Convention, then we'll go with the highest bidder ($101 sounds good?).

So, if you need that right rear upper quarter panel, or a full front suspension to build out that hot rod, heck the brand new rear brake drums were $65 alone, then here's your opportunity.

After I do something, I always hear, from somebody, "well, I wish you would have told me, ..." So, here's the word!

  Thanks all, happy motoring.

P.S. - the turbo motor, 4 speed trans, and diff have already been sold, but i still have other things to sell off the car (doors, hood, lid, glass, etc.)

  Ed Halpin
