[PPCC] Rampside shift boot question

Has anyone replaced their rampside or van shift boot?

The one in the rampside was a boot in name only as it was in quite bad shape.  


I ordered a reproduction one from Clark's and they say it mounts such that it protrudes under the seat rather than extending up the shifter.

Has anyone installed the Clark's shifter boot, and does it work properly?
